About Us
A Promise That Makes A DifferenceWhile regulations, training programs, and laws are critical to prevent abuse, neglect, and exploitation of individuals with I/DD . . . A commitment from the heart is essential!
A Promise to Prevent is dedicated to reaching the heart of everyone in the community.
What is A Promise to Prevent? A Promise to Prevent is a promise. The very nature of a promise begins with the intention to fulfill the promise. Communities where individuals are safe begin with an intention to ensure individuals are safe.
A Promise to Prevent is your opportunity to make a pledge to take an action. . . to be clear of an intention to ensure individuals are safe.
A Promise to Prevent is a commitment to work together to prevent the abuse, neglect, and exploitation of individuals that are not always able to protect themselves, including elderly persons and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
A Promise to Prevent is an opportunity to join in this commitment to do what you can when you can to prevent abuse, neglect, and exploitation – and be an active reporter when you suspect abuse, neglect, and exploitation of individuals that are not able to protect themselves.
It only takes a minute but has lasting effects for individuals that are not always able to protect themselves.
Make the Promise today!
